On Sep 18, 2013, Premier Wynne and Minister Murray announced the appointment of a new 13-member advisory panel to review Metrolinx’s Investment Strategy to fund public transit across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (discussed previously here on the Wood Bull Blog).
The panel will review the Metrolinx recommendations, and consult with stakeholders and residents. The panel is expected to report back to the Province in December, with implementation of the recommendations in the spring of 2014. BILD is hosting an Industry Conversation with Minister Murray on Nov 1, which should provide opportunity to learn more about this and other transit/infrastructure investment ideas.
The panel, led by chair Anne Golden and vice-chair Paul Bedford, includes industry experts and citizen appointees. See full list of panel members and their bios here.
