The Province of Ontario is undertaking a coordinated review of four provincial land use plans:
- The Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe
- The Greenbelt Plan
- The Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan
- The Niagara Escarpment Plan
The Province will be conducting public consultations on how the Plans are working and how they should be modified. The discussion document "Our Region, Our Community, Our Home" describes the Plans, goals of the review, and key discussion questions.
The Province has appointed a panel of six advisors chaired by David Crombie to develop recommendations on how to amend the Plans. A report is to be delivered by 1 September 2015.
